Affiliate disclosure

BikeSpec earns money through affiliate links. When you follow a link from this site to a retailer and buy something, the retailer may pay BikeSpec a commission on that sale.

What this means for you

• The commission is paid by the retailer out of its own margin. It is not added to your price, and you pay the same whether you reach the retailer through BikeSpec or directly.
• Commission does not affect the order in which bikes or retailers are shown. Offers are ordered by price, and specifications are recorded from manufacturer and retailer data.
• Retailers cannot pay for placement, for a higher position, or for a bike to be included or excluded.
• Not every retailer shown operates an affiliate programme. Retailers without one are still listed if they stock the bike.

Networks and retailers

Affiliate relationships are held through affiliate networks, which supply the retailer product data used on the site and handle commission tracking. Individual retailer programmes are joined through those networks.

Prices and accuracy

Prices and stock information come from data supplied by retailers and are updated on a schedule. A retailer can change a price at any time, so the price on the retailer's own page is always the one that applies. Check it before buying. BikeSpec is not the seller, holds no stock, and takes no part in the transaction, so orders, delivery, returns and warranty are matters between you and the retailer.

Cookies

Following an affiliate link may set a cookie in your browser, placed by the affiliate network, that records the referral so commission can be attributed. How this works is described in the privacy and cookies page.
